Bromwich Hardy help Coventry firms expand in Torrington Avenue

An industrial heartland in Coventry is showing encouraging signs of activity with expanding firms on the move.

One of the main businesses on West Park in Torrington Avenue, Tile Hill, has moved out of its 19,500 sq ft unit to consolidate elsewhere in the city. Around half of the space left by Clear Packaging has now been taken over by existing tenants Euro-Cut Abrasives and Future 2000, janitorial suppliers. The companies both needed bigger premises to accommodate their operations and were re-housed on the site by a leading city property group. The Deeley Group, which was based on West Park before moving to George House in Herald Avenue on the Coventry Business Park, has a range of other units and office space available to let on the site.

Tim Hurdiss, director of Deeley Properties, part of the Deeley Group, said: “Before Clear Packaging had even moved out to elsewhere in Coventry, we had agreed terms to re-let half of their space to Euro-Cut and Future 2000 who were expanding their operations.
“We have now got a good range of cost-effective accommodation available to let that would be suitable for manufacturing, warehousing and offices, and are willing to offer flexible lease terms. They are ideal for small companies looking to expand to take the next step.”

Coventry-based property firm Bromwich Hardy is marketing the units for the Deeley Group.

Iain Critchlow, surveyor with Bromwich Hardy, said: “We have been receiving encouraging levels of interest in the units and are in negotiations with several businesses. The West Midlands as a region is performing well in terms of manufacturing growth and the interest in West Park could be a sign of that. Torrington Avenue is a well renowned industrial area which employs significant numbers of people. It is therefore good news for the city that it is still so appealing.”

The industrial units available to let range in size from 1,755 sq ft to 7,714 sq ft, and the office space ranges from 1,524 sq ft to 6,062 sq ft.
