This prestigious Birmingham Road 'Gateway to Stratford' development site was acquired by Peter Warwick through Bromwich Hardy Commercial Property Agents.
Stratford Observer:
'STRATFORD must stop looking back and start looking forward' - this was the controversial message from the entrepreneur spearheading a new development which he claims will breathe new life into the town.
Peter Warwick, who is behind The Gateway development, believes the town needs to forget the past and set its sights firmly on a prosperous future - ahead of a planning application for a hotel and homes being submitted.
Mr Warwick, who wants to transform the site at the junction of Birmingham Road and Arden Street into a landmark project for the town, was speaking at the recent ‘Make Stratford Your Business’ breakfast event held at Needham & James in the town.
He said: "We need to move forward. We have got to stop looking back.
"I believe heritage has a place in the town and that we should protect it, but not at any cost whatsoever. The Gateway could be a new, modern development that may be listed in 20 years time."
Mr Warwick is currently in negotiations with several companies including a five-star boutique hotel operator, with a view to creating a 60 to 70-bedroom hotel together with 16 luxury apartments on the site.
