Iain Critchlow leads the charge on fundraising

Iain Critchlow has recently completed the Bristol half marathon, running on behalf of a Get A-Head Team of 8, who in total have raised over £5,000 to help fund a three year research programme into an extremely rare genetic disorder, which can lead to thyroid cancer.

It was Iain’s first half marathon and he completed it in a very respectable 1 Hour 50 Minutes in rather mixed weather conditions. Approximately 10,000 people competed in the event, which was fantastically organised on the day. Other team members included Mark Hobbs, Sam Bromwich, Adrian Bloor, Graeme Payne, Laura Taylor, Marcus Bromwich and Imogen Yeoman.

Get A-Head is now in its seventeenth year of fundraising going from strength to strength and are an independent Charity based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. Their aim is to raise money to help those who suffer from cancer and other diseases of the head and neck, either via research, education or the purchase of vital equipment.

Over £4,000,000 has already been raised and inroads to reach these goals have been made. However, vital research still needs to be continued. For further information visit: www.getahead.org.uk or contact Tom Bromwich at tom.Bromwich@bromwichhardy.com
